Great Wall C10 Debuted in the Chilean Market

On July 17, Delco Company, Great Wall Motors’ Distributor in Chile, held a launch ceremony for Great Wall C10 in Santiago, the Capital of Chile.

Delco’s Principal, sales persons of the exclusive shops and journalists from more than 10 local mainstream media were present at the ceremony. Mr. Thibaud, Delco’s Manager in charge of the Great Wall Brand, made a brief representation on the development history and brand building of Great Wall Motors, and introduced the product performance, configuration and the selling price of Great Wall C10 in details, which caused a great appeal to the attendees at the ceremony. At the end of the launch ceremony, the related responsible personnel of Delco organized and arranged a Great Wall C10 test drive & ride activity up to 300kms for the people on site, thus enabling all the people to experience the driving safety and comfort personally. The media journalists also expressed their great interest in this model, and highly commented the quality of the product.

Mr. Thibaud said, in the Chilean automobile market, Passenger Cars accounts for 57% of the market share, of which 33% are small-displacement cars and 55% for compact cars. This successful launch of Great Wall C10 in the Chilean market will further diversify the supply of Great Wall cars in the local market, so as to meet the different demands of the local consumers. Furthermore, Great Wall C10 will bring new vigor to Great Wall Motors in the Chilean small car market, and will help to increase the market share and enhance the brand image of Great Wall cars in Chile.

Since 2006 Great Wall Motors has penetrated into the Chilean market as the first Chinese auto brand. Meanwhile, the Chilean market has become one of the major global export countries of Great Wall Motors. So far, owing to the huge market holding volume of more than 20,000 cars in the Chilean market with the market share of 2.4%, Great Wall Motors has taken the lead in terms of sales volume among Chinese auto brand for 5 years successively. The products cover three major categories of Great Wall Motors including Wingle 5, Haval H3, Haval H5, and Great Wall C30, etc.

The responsible person from the Chilean Market Department of International Trade Division for GWM, said “In the second half of this year, Great Wall Motors will continue with the product launch the Chilean market to expand the product line. Models such as Great Wall C20R, Great Wall C50 and Haval H6 are to be launched successively in this market. This will offer a robust guarantee for Great Wall Motors to increase the local market share, enhance the local brand influence, thus laying a solid foundation for Great Wall Motors to consolidate its leading position among Chinese car brands”.
